Access to Facilities & Resources
All postgraduate students within the school gain access to the specialised facilities and resources made available to all members of the school, including the SCA Media Store. The school also provides specialised rooms available only for postgraduates.
- SCA Honours Room (ML3.262)
Is a specialised room with both working desk areas and computer spaces. The room is available 24/7 with an ECU Access Card for those students who are enrolled in an SCA Honours program.
- SCA Masters Room (ML3.293)
Is a specialised room with both working desk areas and computer spaces. The room is available 24/7 with an ECU Access Card for those students who are enrolled in an SCA Masters program.
- SCA MPC Room (ML3.282)
Is a specialised room with both working desk areas and computer spaces. The room is available 24/7 with an ECU Access Card for those students who are enrolled in the SCA MPC program.
- SCA PHD Room (17.222ML)
Is a specialised room with both working desk areas and computer spaces. The room is available 24/7 with an ECU Access Card and a pin code. The pin is changed every semester and is available from the SCA receptionist.
The closest 24hr security door for Building 3 is located opposite the WAAPA Ampitheatre, and around the corner from the Aroma cafe. Students may also use the lift or stairwell located near the entrance to the Mount Lawley (ML) eLab.
Printing
The School offers postgraduate students a wide range of printing facilities, including high-quality colour. Postgraduate students can request their free allocated printing credits be attached to their
StudentID card by visiting the SCA Media Support Desk.
- Mono
A high-volume mono printer is available for postgraduate students and is located near the entrance to the SCA PHD Room, and is controlled using the CopyPlus system, also found in the ECU eLabs and ECU Library.
- Colour
The school's high-volume colour printer is located in the "ML3.257 (Overflow Lab)", and is controlled using the CopyPlus system, also found in the ECU eLabs and ECU Library.
When printing to the Colour printer you must follow the "How to Print Colour" guide available here, or during weekdays from the SCA Media Support Desk. Failing to do so will result in your job being cancelled by the copier.
